It provides two operational modes—Search Mode and Measure Mode—allowing users to detect and evaluate moisture at different depths in building materials. The Search Mode uses non-invasive technology to assess moisture up to ¾ inch (19 mm) beneath surfaces like floors, walls, and coverings (e.g., tile, vinyl). This mode is particularly useful for identifying sub-surface moisture issues without damaging finishes.

The Measure Mode utilizes pin-type probes to provide highly accurate moisture readings for specific areas and materials, including wood, drywall, concrete, masonry, and more.
